While Huawei’s first smartwatch was pretty well-received, Huawei plans to make some significant changes to the Huawei Watch 2 in order to improve upon their first model. For example, the diameter on the Huawei Watch 2 will be .2 inches short than the original model, since some people thought it looked too big on the wrist.
They will be adding a 420mAh battery and the Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. Though the Huawei Watch 2 will be smaller in diameter, it will actually be slightly thicker. Furthermore, the Huawei Watch 2 will be even more water-resistant than the first Huawei watch, with a water-resistant rating of IP68. While the first Huawei watch used a sapphire crystal screen, the Huawei Watch 2 is rumored to use Gorilla Glass 3
Perhaps the biggest difference between these two watches is that the Huawei Watch 2 will be one of the first watches using the highly anticipated Android Wear 2.0. We’re very excited to see what the Huawei Watch 2 has in store.
