Which one is better, Fitbit Charge 2 or Samsung Gear Fit2 - July 2020

Both the Samsung Gear Fit2 and the Fitbit Charge 2 are awesome fitness trackers.
Here’s a quick video comparison to get us started:

As the video concludes, the Samsung Gear Fit2 functions more similarly to a smartwatch than the Fitbit Charge 2. While the Fitbit Charge 2 shares some of these functions, such as call/text alerts, it does not perform nearly as well as the Samsung Gear Fit2 in this category. However, the Fitbit Charge 2 is designed to have a great battery life. In fact, it lasts about 5 days from one charge, which is about twice as long as the Samsung Gear2.

While they share many of the same fitness features, such heart-rate monitors and activity trackers, the Samsung Gear Fit2 is equipped with a standalone GPS. This is a big one-up on the Fitbit Charge 2, which can only use GPS when paired with a phone. When it comes to compatibility, though, the Fitbit Charge 2 has the advantage of working with both Android and iPhone. Meanwhile, the Samsung Gear Fit2 is only compatible with Android.

The contest in appearance is a tossup between these two. They look quite similar in shape, but the Samsung Gear Fit2 has a much larger screen. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. The Samsung Gear Fit2 has a water-resistance rating of IP68, and although Fitbit does not release their official rating, it is safe to say they are similar. Basically, these devices can both withstand perspiration, splashes, and some rain, but they are not recommended to wear while showering or swimming.

While the Fitbit Charge 2 may lack in some of the more advanced tech areas, there is no doubt that it’s one of the best devices out there for improving one’s health. This is, after all, its main function. With a sleep tracker, heart-rate monitor, guided breathing sessions, and all kinds of activity trackers, the Fitbit Charge 2 won’t leave people striving to be healthier disappointed.

Furthermore, its battery life and versatile compatibility are things to consider. However, if your looking for a fitness tracker that functions more similarly to a smartwatch, then the Samsung Gear Fit2 is more likely to be for you. Since they are around the same price, the decision really comes down to what you’re looking for.
